EduRad is an initiative aimed at integrating and improving the education of Radiologists by using a professional approach towards the organization of academic programs. It is the brainchild of Radiologists, Dr. Bharat Parekh, Dr. Deepak Patkar and Dr. Jignesh Thakkar, who have decades of experience in the planning and conduct of workshops, conferences and training programs all over India.

EduRad has identified the prevailing lack of adequate training in medical colleges along with a growing demand to keep abreast with ever increasing knowledge base in Radiology. EduRad proposes to address these issues.

EduRad believes in adopting a professional approach towards creating and conducting academic programs for Radiologists in India which involves:

  • Web-based education for Radiologists.
  • Understanding the educational needs of Radiologists and respond by developing scientific programs on those topics that are most needed and wanted.
  • Including workshops in Ultrasound & Doppler for “Hands On” training and basic modules in X-ray, Mammography, MRI and MDCT.
  • Identifying the best speakers, from India and abroad, to form a “speakers bank”, and create a faculty of such speakers.
  • Developing a year round web-based/didactic lecture series for post-graduate students to prepare them for university exams leading to diplomas & degrees.
  • Conduct educational program in ALL CITIES in India.
  • In-house facility for designing brochures (Logos of sponsors included).
  • Handling logistics which include the registration process, travel and accommodation of delegates and speakers, available in any city as per the program.
  • Creating exhibition space and erecting booths of international class in terms of design, materials used and modular accessories at the venue of conferences.
  • Offering opportunities to the Healthcare Industry in India and abroad to participate in these academic programs, either as exclusive or part sponsors of scientific sessions, focused lectures on technology or hiring stalls to showcase machines. We have also devised novel methods for promotion and sale of equipments of manufacturers at the venue of conferences.

EduRad's launch program was a “Workshop in Color Doppler” & “Conference on Fetal Imaging” which was held on March 14-15-16, 2008 at Hotel Grand Bhagwati, Ahmedabad, which was attended by over 175 Radiologists.
